Habs trying to make Patches out to be the bad guy, turn the fans against him, because they killed the trade market for him with their incompetence. That way, when the bad trade is eventually made, people will say "good riddance", rather than "is that all we got in return?"

Au cours de la dernière saison, c’est Pacioretty lui-même qui a plusieurs fois demandé à quitter Montréal et qui a réclamé un échange. Cette information est confirmée par trois sources bien au fait du dossier. Vous avez bien lu : trois sources. En béton.

Et il semble que ce n’était pas la première fois. En 2013-2014, deux ans avant d’être élu capitaine par ses coéquipiers, il avait aussi demandé à être échangé, avance l’une de ces trois sources.

L’année précédente, en 2012, Pacioretty avait pourtant signé avec le CH un contrat de six ans d’une valeur de 27 millions dont il s’était dit absolument enchanté.

Obvious these “sources” are coming from the club. Max will always take the high road and repeats again, he is ready to sign an extension with Montreal TODAY. It was Montreal that traded Max to LA at the draft and it was a DONE DEAL subject to Max signing an extension with LA.

I think Walsh is a tool, d-bag, and asshat of top quality... but I still believe him here.

Now, I do believe Max wants to stay in MTL, but the contract he and Walsh want to sign is not likely one the Habs are willing to give - which is a completely different issue.

Pacs wants to make up what he left on the table the last time. It will not happen.

If Pacs was willing to sign 6years at 7M, he would be signed by now.
